So, in my previous post I asked the question…what should you consider when you are out shopping for this accessory? In this episode I will continue with the first key factor that you should bear in mind when looking for your next handbag to ‘have and to hold’ and focus on other types of handbags.
Remember the first step in your search for your next investment is to be clear about the purpose of the bag as this will help you determine the type of bag you choose.
Let’s look at a few other common types:
Backpacks are carried over the shoulder with the help of thick straps. Originally, they were quite large bags used as travel bags and book bags by students, However, since 2017, we saw the emergence of a fashion trend of smaller backpacks being used for everyday wear.
· Hobo Bag
These bags are made with soft flexible material that slouch or bend in the middle when set down. This type is ideal for everyday wear.
This type is usually worn by men. They are medium-sized rectangular bags with a long and thick strap for cross-body wearing. They are usually made out of soft material like leather with a flap and buckle closure and sometimes used to carry books.
Wristlets are just like wallets but are larger, much more functional and comfortable to carry. They are large enough to carry your essentials such as your phone, cash and card with the added benefit of allowing you to remain hands-free as it is carried on the wrist. Great for evenings out!
· Shoulder Bag
Shoulder bags are one of the popular types of handbags for women. They may have a single or double strap that would be just be long enough to be carried over the shoulder, hence the name. It comes in different sizes, materials, and designs to make it a perfect pick for each attire.
Remember being clear about the purpose of your next wardrobe addition is tantamount.
